SYNOPSIS
Tsubaki Hibino (EMI TAKEI) is an
old-fashioned, simple, high school girl who loves to dress-up her
younger sister's hair before school however she keeps her hair in
typical school-girl braids.
Kyouta Tsubaki (TORI MATSUZAKA) is the
popular, handsome, bad-boy who plays around with girls and does not
believe in true love. They meet on the first day of high school and
finds out they share the same name “Tsubaki”, same homeroom and
sat right next to each other. Kyouta teases Tsubaki because of her
old-fashion style which made the “fan girls” to hate her. Kyouta
felt responsible for Tsubaki's haters and made a deal with her – if
she goes on a date with him, he will help her out. This is where
their friendship and love begins.

REVIEW
Teen romance is the best kind of
romantic-comedies because of the purity and innocence. I would love
to relive my teen days and fall in-love with no reservations. Love
For Beginners is a refreshing romance movie with Tsubaki's innocence
that Kyouta wants to corrupt because he was longing for such
sincerity and brutal honesty. It's been awhile that I wanted to watch
a movie twice-in-a-row to re-capture every moment. Like any rom-com
there is some drama, of course this is rather slow and I don't mind
skipping through but it is the salt of the movie. Overall, you will
not be disappointed but will reminisce your youthful days.
